Lower Your Energy Use with these Simple Tips

• Repair leaky faucets & shower heads.
• Install a timer on your water heater to automatically turn water off at night and on in the morning.
• Drain a quart of water from your hot water tank every 3 months to reduce sediment build-up.
• Take showers instead of baths. Shorten shower time. Turn off shower when soaping & washing.
• Change furnace filter regularly.
• Have your heating, cooling and plumbing systems serviced yearly.
• Lower your thermostat 2 to 4° in the winter.
• Raise your thermostat 2 to 4° in the summer.
• Install a water conserving shower head.
• If you pre-rinse dishes, fill a bowl with water instead of running the water.
